Location, location, location. In the summertime, the open terrain becomes some of the best hiking and biking trails on the North Shore. You can access the trails at the home and go for miles. All the roads in the neighborhood dead end at trail heads. North National Park is walking distance to the house and offers Frisbee golf, ball fields, snowmobile rentals and much more. The Lake at Kings Beach is 2.5 miles away and has boat and kayak rentals. White, sandy beaches will remind you of being in Hawaii. Shopping and entertainment are here with casinos 3 miles away that will satisfy your thirst for nightlife. Crystal Bay Club is known for their music venues, and Cal Neva for their spa services. There is an abundance of restaurants and shops scattered up and down Kings Beach that will cater to your daytime or evening dining fancies.

In the wintertime… you are in the middle of the North Shore with easy access to the ski resorts. You are 4 miles to the entrance of Northstar which offers a great all-around skiing mountain, along with a new village with ice skating rink, shops and restaurants. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley are minutes away and there is a short cut which eliminates dealing with traffic in Tahoe City. Diamond Peak and Mt Rose are 20 min away and offers less expensive skiing with specials and family pricing. Cross country skiing and snow shoeing are literally out the back door…and for those adventure enthusiasts, there is a multitude of snowmobiling rentals as close at 2 miles from the house.

This chalet style home with loft is great for large families or groups of friends. It has an open floor plan with 22ft ceilings with large windows looking out to the forest. Located in a quiet pocket of homes surrounded by forest land, you’ll see more people out walking than cars driving by. All the roads dead end at trail heads that the forestry service maintains which allows unlimited hiking and biking in the summertime. In the wintertime, the front yard becomes a nice sledding hill for the kids. In the summertime, the kids will love playing in the meadow, and the hiking the trails

As you walk in front door, you are greeted by a large open living area called the ‘Great Room’. In Tahoe we think cooking is a main hobby, so houses are built with open areas that comprise of the living, kitchen and dining room. You can cook and socialize at the same time.Your family or group will enjoy the spacious living area with sectional,scattered ottomans, and a wood burning stove with brick hearth. This faces a large HD Smart TV with Dish satellite reception. The dining area has a 10 top timber trestle table with benches and is perfect for entertaining at. The kitchen, surrounded by countertops, and barstools, overlooks the dining and living area, with lots of counter space and large enough to accommodate a number of chefs. The kitchen has another table in it with barstools, and ample cupboard space with all the amenities you may want or need during your stay. Off the dining area is a sliding glass door that exits out to a sunny wrap-around deck. The deck has just been remodeled with expansions and wrap around seating. Its great in both winter and summer. The deck and house sits low off the street, so you have privacy with a nice yard, and a meadow behind the house. Patio furniture and barbecues make the summertime outdoor activities worth looking forward to. Off the side yard is deck with forest views and separate deck with Hot Tub. You can soak in the tub for hours, enjoying the meadow views.

Down the hall from the living area, is a full bathroom, laundry room and two bedrooms. One room has a queen bed , TV, and has a sliding glass door that exits out to a private deck with a view that looks out to a the meadow the house sits on. The other bedroom, has a pillow top King size poster bed, TV, and meadow views.

Up the stairs are two more enclosed bedrooms, and a loft. The Master bedroom is large and has a King bed, and twin bed, TV/DVD and bathroom. The high A framed beam ceilings, and the triangle windows above the bed really makes this room special. At night you can see stars, and in the morning you can see the colors of the sky’s sunrise. Off the Master is a alcove with twin bed,and another full bathroom with skylights. The loft is adjacent to this with 2 twin beds, TV,and doubles as a game room. There is a full size foosballs table that is a hit for children, and extra room to play cards etc. There is also a private 4th bedroom here with a queen bed and TV which shares the high beam ceilings, and towering windows.

Each room has a TV and is unique with European style bedding with 300 count sheets, extra pillows, plisse, bed throw, memory foam toppers and window coverings to give you the charm and comfort you’d expect from a mountain home. The furnishings compliment the ‘Pine Lodge’ decor. The open areas and high ceiling ,allow you to socialize with family or friends, without feeling closed in.
The house has all the amenities of home and more. Coffee service is provided for your first morning here, and bathrobes are in most bedrooms for your use. The furnishings are user friendly with plenty of seating for your family and friends. High ceilings with large wooden beams, triangle shaped windows, and mountain decor compliment the ‘Tahoe’ feeling. The location and amenities of this home makes this a great vacation home year-round.

Great Location, Comfortable, Great Value
We have stayed here twice, in summer and ski season. Great location in Lake Tahoe just minutes from shopping and short drive to ski. The layout and the rooms are perfect for families and couples sharing large house. In the summer, there is GREAT mountain biking right out the back door! We will definitely go back, thanks Rick

Great Location, Very Comfortable, Enjoy this wonderful Vacation Rental with a large family
Our family vacations in Tahoe every year. We have been coming back to this wonderful mountain home for 3 years in a row. It has everything our family could ever need. Fully equipped, just like home! Our kids love to ski at Northstar and this is the perfect setting for our vacations. We love the views right up the street of Lake Tahoe and there are so many wonderful spots to hike, bike and sled! At night the adults enjoy an evening away from the kids and there is always a new restaurant for us to explore. We could not ask for a better location! The rooms are always very clean and the place is very tidy upon moving in for the week. We highly recommend this vacation home for you and your extended family!
